Attic Insulation

Loose fill attic insulation is one of the most important investment you can make when building a home. Most new homes built in Okotoks today have attics that are blown to a rating of R50 (14- 18 inches in height). In order to get the most out of your loose fill attic insulation its important to ensure the vapor barrier is sealed properly and that vents are installed and functional. So that is why we do an inspection of these areas before the attic insulation is blown. The vapor barrier should consist of 6mm polyethylene, acoustical sealant, and tape to seal any openings.
